Stories Of The Kingdom (Primary Age)

DAY 7 OF 8

A Rich Fool

WRAP UP

The Rich Fool was worried about how to keep all the grain for himself. In this story, Jesus is reminding us that we shouldn’t spend all our time focusing on storing up things for ourselves! So what was he to do with the grain? It would be a waste just to let it rot, wouldn’t it? Throughout the Bible we learn that as friends of Jesus we should share our belongings with those in need. The Rich Fool not only focused on collecting wealth for himself, but he also never shared it with those in need.

Questions

  1. What happened when the Rich Fool stored up all the grain for himself?
  2. Why might living only to get more things for yourself not be the best way to live?
  3. What have you learnt from today’s story?

About this Plan

Stories Of The Kingdom (Primary Age)

Jesus would often tell short stories called parables when He was speaking to people. These parables would be used by Jesus to teach about a particular aspect of God and His Kingdom, inviting and challenging His listeners to think more deeply about their lives. Jesus’ parables have a lot to teach us today as well! Watch the fun videos and enjoy learning more about God! (Bible study ages 9-12)
