Stories Of The Kingdom (Primary Age)

DAY 1 OF 8

Two Builders

WRAP UP

In this story, the houses are like our lives. The house built on the rock is someone who hears what God has to say and obeys Him. The house that wasn’t built on solid rock is someone who hears what God says but doesn’t obey Him. The floods represent the hard times that we all face. When the floods hit the house that wasn’t built on solid rock, it smashed to pieces! BUT the house built on solid rock didn’t even shake! We want our lives to be just like the house built on solid rock. When we obey Jesus He helps us to stand strong in any storms that come our way!

QUESTIONS

  1. What are some of the storms that we might face in life?
  2. How can trusting and obeying God help us in these situations?
  3. What have you learnt from today’s story?

About this Plan

Stories Of The Kingdom (Primary Age)

Jesus would often tell short stories called parables when He was speaking to people. These parables would be used by Jesus to teach about a particular aspect of God and His Kingdom, inviting and challenging His listeners to think more deeply about their lives. Jesus’ parables have a lot to teach us today as well! Watch the fun videos and enjoy learning more about God! (Bible study ages 9-12)
