Challenge Accepted: PrayerSample

How often should we pray? Do we need to be super-spiritual monks who check out of the regular world to sit in a dark room and pray all day every day? Is it possible to be in regular and persistent communication with God, while still maintaining a “normal” life? This collection of short passages will paint a great picture of the kinds of quick and consistent prayers we can pray to God throughout the day. For the truly motivated: each of these would be great passages to memorize and remind yourself of regularly, as well. If we can incorporate frequent, short talks with Jesus throughout the day, it will transform our lives quicker than just about anything else we could try.
About this Plan

Why and how should we pray? The Bible is packed full of teachings and examples that deal with all these questions. This week-long reading plan will cover some of the clearest teachings and greatest recorded prayers to ground and enrich our personal prayer lives in the truth of Scripture. Pair these scriptures with a brief prayer afterwards, and watch the difference it makes in your relationship with Jesus.
