Fruits Of The Spirit For Students Sample
One of the things you have been taught since you were a little kid is to be kind to others. Even as early as kindergarten, we understand the importance of kindness and we all want to experience someone being kind to us. The problem is what do we do when we just don’t feel like being kind to someone or when someone isn’t kind to us. We all know we should be kind but we also all struggle with actually doing it. The biggest thing we want you to understand is that if we truly love Jesus and want to follow him, we don’t get to choose to be kind. Jesus asks us to simply do it and to show kindness to all people just like Jesus showed kindness to the people he met. Kindness is something that should just be a part of us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Challenge: Kindness is not just about the things we say but also the things we do. Today we want to challenge you to do 3 random acts of kindness for someone else. The more you practice showing kindness the easier it gets. Have fun with this and be creative. We also want to challenge you to pick at least one of the three people that may be a person who is a little harder to be kind to and watch and see how it affects that person.
Prayer: Dear God, thank you so much for the people in my life whom are easy to be kind to. Please help me show kindness to all people in my life even the people I may struggle being kind to.

About this Plan
How can we tell that we are growing in our relationship with God? One way is through the Fruits of the Spirit that appear in our lives when we are fully following Him. Fruits of the Spirit for Students was created by Collide, the middle school ministry of LCBC Church, to help students see ways that they should see God working in themselves.
