21 Days After CampSample
Missions
We are fortunate to live in a context that we can pick which church we want to be a part of or fits our needs best. There are billions of humans made in the image of God that do not have this privilege. Billions of people that do not know the hope, love, joy, and fullness that we all know. It is an extreme injustice to leave them in that darkness. Often, we ask how God would allow those people to remain lost, but if we look at scripture we see Jesus calls us to do something about it. The questions we have to begin to ask ourselves is, how are we okay with them remaining lost? How are we okay selfishly holding on to the love of Jesus and keeping it contained? How are we okay with billions living without, while we live in a place of plenty? Will we move from attending church to being the church and living out the command that Jesus gives us to share and be witnesses to what He has done?
This mission is one of the core reasons why we exist as a church. We must take this mission to those that have yet to even hear of it.
Based on this scripture and your own salvation through Jesus, you now have the responsibility of moving the Gospel to the unreached parts of the world. Maybe that means giving so others can go. Maybe that means to start preparing now to move to a place like Kolkata, Tehran, or Erzurum. Begin to pray that the work that God has done in your life would not be merely contained to you. Pray that God would use you to reach the unreached and take the Gospel where it has yet to be proclaimed. God is calling all of us to his mission, it is one of the core reasons we exist as the church.
