I once read a quote by William Booth “The greatness of a man's power is the measure of his surrender.” We live in a time where people seem to want to be in control over everything. We want to be certain in every aspect of life, especially our future. Yet throughout the Bible, God always has and always will look for men and women who will say to Him, “God I trust you so much, here I am surrendering all. I want You to lead me Your way and not mine. I am willing to live by faith.”

Galatians 5:25-26 says this in the Message Bible: “Since this is the kind of life we have chosen, the life of the Spirit, let us make sure that we do not just hold it as an idea in our heads or a sentiment in our hearts, but work out its implications in every detail of our lives.“ To surrender is to exercise our faith that the power of the Holy Spirit can accomplish anything, the tiny details of our lives, even when we don’t understand or can’t foresee the outcome.
