Illuminate: A 21-Day JourneySample
Day 2: The Light Inside You
God sent Jesus into the world to be a light for us all. By accepting him as your savior, He is now living in your heart. Take a second and read 2 Corinthians 4.1-18 before reading the reflection. As you read this passage, pay close attention to what the author says we can do now that this light is within us.
Reflection
Some days, we may not feel like the light inside us is very bright. As we deal with pain and trying circumstances, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. This passage reminds us that life is full of stuff that happens – stuff that may not always be positive. However, the light inside us gives us strength. When we rely on Jesus instead of our own strength, things get a whole lot easier!
What are you holding onto today?
Is there anything that you have been struggling to overcome?
Have you given it to God?

About this Plan
Coming off a retreat or revival? What next? You and I are the church of Jesus Christ on earth today, the visible representation of an invisible God. We have the Holy Spirit living within us, and have been commissioned to shine (illuminate) his love in the midst of a dark world. But what does that mean? How did we get here? And what do we do with all of this? All good questions, and if you stick with us through this journey, we are confident that the Holy Spirit will open your eyes to the light within you that God intends to use to illuminate the world!
