Talk to God
Jesus, show my adult child that You understand hard days. You understand disappointment and sorrow, particularly in relationships and in meaningful but stressful work. You experienced difficult relationships, abuse, and harm when You walked this earth, and You modeled what it’s like to persevere with hope. You show us how to be strong and courageous when faced with obstacles, heartache, and difficulties. You emanated joy even though You knew You would suffer on the cross. Thank You for understanding all the ins and outs of my adult child’s life. Please empower them to persevere through their current trial, I pray. Amen.
Think
Being courageous isn’t simply about overcoming scary situations. It’s about learning to walk through difficult times with integrity and purpose. Even more, if you can find joy during your trial, it’s a strong indication you are growing in your relationship with God. Modeling this for your adult child is a privilege!
