DAY 2: THE STAGE IS SET

Key Verse: “I know the Lord has given you this land..” - Joshua 2:9

God’s promise to us as we partner with Him on His mission is that He goes before us. Before we share the gospel, He softens hardened hearts. Before we step out in generosity, He prepares to pour out His blessings.

When God challenged me to go for missions, I obeyed but I was lacking in personal finances at that time. I asked God to provide for me but until the day of my departure, I had not experienced a breakthrough. However, at the airport, just as I was about to go into the immigration, a good number of people who came to see me off, gave generously to me. I was so blessed that I had enough to see me through a whole year and even to be a blessing to my teammates! God already knew my need and had arranged to provide for me well in advance.

In Joshua 2, when Joshua sent spies into Jericho to scout the land, Rahab, a woman from Jericho, revealed that her people’s hearts were melting in fear. She stated, “I know that the Lord has given you this land and that a great fear of you has fallen on us” (Joshua 2:9). The people of Jericho had heard of God’s mighty acts, and they were terrified. God was moving ahead of them, preparing the way!

This story reminds us that when God commissions us, He is already at work to set the stage for victory. Rise up in faith as we step into our promised land—God is already there, waiting to show Himself strong on your behalf.
