What do you love doing? Sporting heroes have a great love for the sport they play. It’s their love for the game that helps them succeed. What does God tell us about love?

How can we learn to love? From God!

If we read God’s Word (like you’re doing today) and listen to God, we will get to know him and his wonderful, amazing love.

Think about the verses you’re reading from the Bible today. How do your sporting heroes behave? When you watch them play, do they look like a person with love in their heart?

What qualities do your friends look for in you?

God’s love never stops, never gives up, never fails. As you run the race for God, do you see others on God’s team who show:

• Happiness?
• Kindness?
• Irritability?
• Patience?
• Easy giving up?
• Hope?
• Keeping going?
• Jealousy?
• Selfishness?

How would others on God’s team mark you?

Pray: “Lord, please help me to be patient, kind and loving to those around me.”
