How To Follow Jesus

DAY 7 OF 8

Disciples make disciples.

Have you ever been so excited about something that you couldn’t wait to tell everyone you know? Maybe you scored a goal at your soccer game, got the toy you were hoping for, or got a 100% on a test.

Think about how excited you were, and times it by 100! That’s how Peter and John felt about sharing the Good News about who Jesus is and what He has done for us. They were so excited to tell others about Jesus that even when they were threatened and commanded to stop talking about Him, they couldn’t stop. They had to obey God and keep telling others about Jesus’ power, friendship, and teaching. Everywhere they went, they were making other disciples!

Jesus wants us to make more disciples, too! We share the Good News about Jesus because we love Him so much and don’t want anyone to go another minute missing out on a friendship with Him. Peter and John knew sharing the Good News about Jesus isn’t always easy. But nothing could stop them from making disciples, and nothing can stop you either!

Talk It Over: Who is someone you can share the Good News about Jesus with? What can you do today that might help them want to be Jesus’ disciple?
