Drowning in Doubt?Sample
God’s Unending Faithfulness
In life and in faith, there are times we need to step back and gain perspective—to take the long view. While our immediate circumstances may be discouraging, we can be encouraged by considering the bigger picture.
In today’s verse, the Psalmist reminds us God is not going anywhere—He keeps working on us and in us, and His mercy continues all the days of our lives. He will never get tired of our doubts, never leave us to face our obstacles alone, and never forsake us.
Philippians 1 echoes this idea; Paul writes that he is "…confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." God is just getting started in your life. He has just begun the good work in you, and He has promised to keep working. Take some time today to consider the works He is doing in your life and express your gratitude for His faithfulness.
As you engage with God’s Word:
● What is God saying to me?
● What does it mean to me?
● How can I apply what God is teaching me?
● How can I be specific in prayer today?
After you reflect on these questions, bring everything to God in prayer.
