Quick Question: Why Do Bad Things Happen?

DAY 4 OF 10

It can be so easy to find things to worry about, can’t it?

Worries can slowly start to overtake your thoughts if you aren’t careful. They can also add tons of stress to your life.

This passage reminds us that we don’t need to worry. If God takes care of birds and flowers, he will definitely take care of us. It also reminds us that worrying will not change the situation.

The other problem with worrying is that, when we worry, we tend to focus only on what we are worrying about instead of what God might have for us for that day.

What worries are you currently struggling with that you need to give them over to God?

Challenge: Today, we challenge you to write out some of the things you are worried about.  Then, rip up the list and ask God to help you stop worrying about the future and what will happen and help you focus on him.  Then, take some time to write down some of the blessings God has given you in the past few days.  Put that list somewhere you can see every day to remind you that God has you and you don’t have to worry anymore.
