DAY 5 OF 12

WILDERNESS

As we ponder and look at our days, we will find that there is so much goodness from God that we received. The Israelites also experienced goodness and miracles from God as they came out of Egypt and entered the wilderness. In the Israelites' journey, God shows His might, His glory, and His greatness by dividing the Red Sea so that they can walk on dry land in the midst of the sea. Only our God is able to do it.

Miracles that God performed for Israelites caused other nations to tremble. God not only divided the Red Sea to provide a dry land for Israelites, but only God preserved their life during their walk in the wilderness. God performed miraculous deeds for the Israelites, not only for them to admire God or be amazed with God, but also to cause the Israelites to live in fear of God.

God is a good father. He provides all of our needs even though we are in the wilderness situation or experiencing processes in life. In the wilderness, most likely we will experience a deep thirst because of the dry air there. But God is able. With God’s mighty power Moses struck the rock in Horeb and water came out of it.  Jesus is our Rock who can produce water from our life. The world and its beauty cannot satisfy our thirst. Only Jesus is able to satisfy our soul.

Walking with Jesus means walking in His will where we will be kept well and prosperous.
