Run the Raceサンプル
Week One - Day Four - God is my Coach
Welcome to our ‘Run the Race’ Devotional - we are so excited to have you following along with us as we journey through the Bible. We are taking a look at some people in the Bible to find out how they ‘Run the Race’ that is God set before them. Each of us has a ‘Race to Run’, something that God has made us for. Our ‘Race’ is like a lane on the running track but the best, most exciting thing is, we get to ‘Run our Race’ together with God and He provides EVERYTHING that we need to complete our Race!
As Abraham and Sarah journeyed with their people there was trouble…
READ:
‘A New Home’ in the Beginners Bible (pages 39-45) or in Genesis 17.
Abraham and his family had begun to travel to where God led them, but soon there was trouble!
The helpers that had come with them began to fight because there was not enough grass for all the animals and they were worried about how they were going to have enough!
Sometimes, we might be a bit unsure that God is going to provide for us. But just like Abraham and Sarah we can trust that God is going to look after us, we don’t need to worry!
Come back tomorrow to find out what happened next….
ASK:
Can you think how God provides for you and your family?
Write down some of the ways and the things that God has given you, thank Him for them!
REMEMBER:
‘So we have many people of faith around us. Their lives tell us what faith means. So let us run the race that is set before us and never give up’ (Hebrews 12:1)
SAY:
I am an overcomer
I can run my race
I can raise a happy sound.
His people all around.
My God has given me everything
He is faithful and true,
With my eyes firmly fixed on Him
His power will get me through!
In Jesus name, Amen.
