 Week Two - Day Six - God Leads Me

Welcome to our ‘Run the Race’ Devotional - we are so excited to have you following along with us as we journey through the Bible.  We are taking a look at some people in the Bible to find out how they ‘Run the Race’ that God set before them.  Each of us has a ‘Race to Run’, something that God has made us for.  Our ‘Race’ is like a lane on the running track but the best, most exciting thing is, we get to ‘Run our Race’ together with God and He provides EVERYTHING that we need to complete our Race!

God told Moses to raise his staff again….

READ:

‘The Red Sea’ in the Beginners Bible (pages 111 -  115 ) or in Exodus 14

God told Moses to raise his staff again, and the sea swept away Pharaoh and his army! 

Wow!  Moses was so wise to allow God to lead him!

God led Moses and his people into a safe place and then washed the people who were chasing them away! 

Following what God said saved Moses and his people and allowed them to start a new life! 

ASK:

God told Moses to raise his staff - when Moses followed what God said, God moved!  

We can follow where God leads and remember that God will move for us too! 

Have you ever played ‘follow the leader?’  Maybe you could ask your grownups to play this with you today?  Have fun with this and remember to ask your grownups to send us some pictures of you playing today on Facebook or Instagram.

REMEMBER:

‘So we have many people of faith around us. Their lives tell us what faith means. So let us run the race that is set before us and never give up’ (Hebrews 12:1) 

SAY:

I am an overcomer  

I can run my race

I can raise a happy sound.

His people all around.

My God has given me everything

He is faithful and true,

With my eyes firmly fixed on Him

His power will get me through!
