Experiencing God in the Secret Place

DAY 2 OF 7

God wants to be with you...

What’s the first thing you want to do when receiving wonderful news? You want to tell someone! And the first thing you want to do when you receive bad news? That’s right; you want to tell someone....

God has put this desire to communicate within us because He Himself wants to communicate with us! Just like He wanted to have fellowship with Adam and Eve, the first humans on Earth. The Bible says, “And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.” (Genesis 3:8, KJV)

God was in the garden with Adam and Eve because He wanted to be there. Do you think Adam and Eve were having trouble raising their children and wanted God to solve the problem? No, haha. They didn’t even have children yet.

Do you think they talked to God about how to pay their bills? No…because everything was given to them by God. Nor did they have a marriage crisis or other difficulties.

Again, God was with them because He wanted to be with them, just as God wants to be with you simply because…He wants to be with you. This is the question I’d now like to ask you: “Do you want to be with God simply because you want to be with Him?”

Please don’t feel badly if you can’t answer this question with a resounding “yes.” Maybe you’ve also been hiding from the presence of God, too ashamed to step out, just like Adam and Eve.

If so, I have a recommendation for you: “‘But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father…’” (Matthew 6:6, NKJV)

Don’t wait for a “better” day when God wants to be with you today!

You’re a miracle!
