Horizon Church January 2025 Bible Reading Plan - Psalms: A Journey Through the PsalmsIhe Atụ
Psalm 119
As we come toward the end of our fortnight in the Psalms of Wisdom let us immerse ourselves in Psalm 119 over the rest of this week.
Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible, with 176 verses; it is a song about God’s Law and the psalmist’s desire to obey it. It focuses on the beauty of God's Word that we may meet God in it. It reminds us that God’s character is reflected in His Word. It reminds us that God is powerful, righteous, faithful, and unchanging. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And as we come to know God more in His Word, our desire to love and serve Him grows.
Psalm 119 encourages us to stay close and focused on God’s Word no matter what is happening in this world. It instructs us that living in the freedom and knowledge of God’s ways, obeying His Law, and keeping in step with His commandments is the only way to live wise, faithful lives.

This week, as we dive into Psalm 119, we encourage you to meet God where you’re at and marvel at His greatness. Let us sit in awe of our God as we experience His goodness, mercies, severity, faithfulness, righteousness and His character through this Psalm.
