Thriving in Your Singleness Part TwoIhe Atụ
Day 1
Prayer is your lifeline
A great way to thrive in your singleness is by having a strong prayer life.
Prayer must not be done only occasionally; it must be our daily business, our habit, and a lifestyle.
One of the areas in my life that the enemy constantly attacked was my prayer life. I was an avid reader of the Bible, but my prayer life was weak. I often felt like God wasn’t hearing my prayers, so praying always felt like a chore.
God had to change my mindset and put me in the posture of prayer. My life changed drastically once I understood the power of prayer as a single woman.
The enemy loves to attack our prayer life. Do you ever notice, once you try to focus on prayer, your mind is easily distracted? Suddenly, you find yourself thinking about what you are going to eat for dinner. The petty argument you had with your boss is weighing heavily your mind. You are replaying the last conversation you had with the guy/girl that you are dating. Or, you are simply having brain fog.
Prayer is a conversation with the Lord. Prayer is an important part of our Christian walk.
Sometimes, as a Christian, you may feel like you can’t find the right words to say in prayer. Our prayers don’t have to be fancy—just sincere.
There is great power in prayer; prayer changes everything.
