A Strong Tower for the Lord

Your life stands tall as a tower, like a shining light on a hill. Your revelation eyes are pure, like pools of refreshing—sparkling light for a multitude. Such discernment surrounds you, protecting you from the enemy’s advance.

The fruit of God’s glorious grace over our life is that we will become strong—someone whom others have a desire to follow and emulate. As the Shulamite in Song of Songs was given constant grace, she became healthy and strong. Likewise, we are to allow God’s grace to strengthen us. In doing so, we become aware of the needs of others and can extend them grace in turn.

As we draw closer to our Lord daily, we make ourselves a strong tower, directing those we meet toward the One who will strengthen them, as He has strengthened us. Our light—the light of Christ within us—directs their way and points them to the Lord. He is the Strong Tower for all of us—the safe, secure place we can turn to any time we need His loving care.

As we remain grounded in the Lord, we produce good fruits. All that we do comes from the strength of the Lord. We come to see that we no longer need to look to man to provide us with courage, wisdom, or affirmation—our Strong Tower does that for us, and we can stand confidently in Him as we follow His leading.

Let us never replace the Lord for someone or something else, when it is God who should be the only source of where we get our strength. As godly men and women, beloved of the Lord, we are able to say, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13).

Here are three Bible-based affirmations to strengthen your faith today:

I AM strengthened by God’s love. I AM a strong tower filled with peace. I AM a light to others.

Remember, we capitalize the I AM to demonstrate our awareness that Christ in us gives us everything we need. We are nothing without Him.
