ManifestHER Daily: Becoming Fully Committedનમૂનો
I began college with one goal—to earn the best possible grade in every class. I would visit every professor before the semester started, just so I could understand how they were grading the class. I knew if I could just manage to prioritize what they told me was important to them, I would increase my likelihood of achieving my ultimate goal, to get a 4.0. Sure enough, this strategy worked, and I ended my freshman year with a solid 4.0 grade point average!
If you are like me, you may be wondering how to measure how well you’re doing as it relates to God’s standards. At the end of the day, what really matters to God? Paul shares an answer to this question in 1 Corinthians 13:13 which says that “there are three things that last forever—faith, hope and love.”
You’ll know you’re doing well by your faith, your hope, and your love.
If we measure our progress on anything, let’s measure it based on what will last according to God’ instructions in His Word. Our Father brings us closer to Him through love. If God IS love, then we also know that the closer we draw to Him, the closer we are to the ultimate thing that will last forever—love.
Through His love, He gives us hope and faith. These are the building blocks to pleasing God! When we live our lives with hope and faith, seeking Him and centering our lives in Him, God rewards us.
Hebrews 11:6 confirms this: “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”
You can rely on God’s promises, because He provides them to you through His love—the one thing that will last forever.
· I will be with you always. Matthew 28:20
· I will keep weapons from forming against you. Isaiah 54:17
· I will give you peace that surpasses your understanding. Philippians 4:7
· I will leave my peace with you. John 14:27
· I will comfort you. John 14:16
· I will bless you through your obedience. Deuteronomy 28:6
· I will redeem you. Isaiah 52:3
· I will give you power. Luke 10:19
God’s promises bring us progress. God's promises bring us power! Today, let’s stand on and believe in His promises. Let’s speak life based on His promises!
