KNOW TO GROW

Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.

Some people want to remain ignorant about few things because they know it requires time, effort and action. Some want to know, but little is sufficient. When it comes to who we are, we can never be ignorant. We must know who we are for us to grow. A right understanding of who we are will help us to grow in the way God wants us to grow. We must know to grow in praises.

Know who we are. v3

We are created in the image of God. We have a beginning. We are not an accident or an afterthought. We are all designer models. We are His people. His possession. We are important. We have an identity. We are so significant. We are under His care, the sheep of His pasture. We have security. There is nothing for us to fear, to be anxious about. And we are provided for. We have a provision. Let us thank God for who we are. We are a blessing. We are chosen by God.

Know who God is. v3-5

He is LORD. He is in total control. Nothing happens to us without His knowledge. Not a hair falls to the ground without Him knowing about it. He is our Creator. He is our Shepherd. He guides us. He leads us. He takes us through green pastures. He will take us to a place where we will be comfortable. He is good. Whatever happens in my life, He knows it. He is merciful. We are not perfect people. We fall. We fail. But we can always go to Him. He is waiting to forgive us. His truth endures forever. Don't we have enough reason to praise Him?

Grow in thanksgiving.

When we know who we are and when we know who He is, we will automatically grow in praises, in thanksgiving. Sing in His presence. Thank Him. Bless His name. Know to grow in praises and thanksgiving. Let us know Him and know more about Him. The more we know Him, the more we will praise Him. Without the Lord it is impossible for us to overcome the stresses and the struggles that we are facing. With Him, we can cross any obstacle.

He has created us with a purpose. In a fast moving society, shall we stop to know, to grow and to glow for Him?

Let us rejoice in the Lord because we are precious in His sight. He loves us more than yesterday.

When people say you are good for nothing, God says you are GOOD for something.
