Prophecy: Jesus & His Birth - Preparing For Christmas Series #2નમૂનો
Messiah would be called Immanuel
Thoughts on the Passage
The Messiah would be called Immanuel – which means “God with us”.
Have you ever wondered what God is like? What would God want us to do in specific situations?
When we look at the life of Jesus, we see exactly what God is like and how He would respond to situations we face. It is really that simple. Jesus is God with us. He responded as God wanted in every situation and every problem. That is why the life of Jesus must be read, re-read, and re-re-read until we get a clear understanding of His heart.
However, Jesus is more than just an example to us, He is God WITH us. God walks with us through life. We do not have the wisdom or understanding needed to live as God wants – so we have the example of Jesus. We also do not have the strength to live this life the way God wants – so we have God with us. He walks with us, He encourages us, He helps us, and He often carries us – if we are willing to let Him.
Start today by making sure He is walking with you as you begin this day.
Time to Pray
Father, my mornings can be such a rushed time. I hurry through so much of my day. I get home with more things to do – and not enough time. When I look at my day, I wonder what You would have done? So today I start my day with a simple request, be Immanuel to me today. Jesus, walk with me, show me what You want done, and help me do what You say needs to be accomplished.
As I remember the Christmas season, it is about Immanuel – God with us. You came to my world, to help me learn about You and Your world. It took You coming for this to happen. Thank You. So come to my world today and teach me about You and Your world. I ask this in Jesus’ Name Amen.
