We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to GodSample
Day 119 of 365
In 1 Samuel 17, David stands before Goliath, armed only with a sling and his faith in God. David’s courage didn’t come from his own strength but from his unshakable trust in God’s power. The Holy Spirit reminds us that true courage flows from a heart anchored in God. When we rely on Him, we find the strength to confront our own giants, knowing He fights for us and equips us in every battle.
In Luke 20, Jesus teaches with authority, confronting the doubts and challenges of the religious leaders. The Spirit empowers us to stand firm in our convictions, giving us courage to speak and act according to God’s truth, even when opposition arises. God’s strength within us allows us to face adversity without fear.
Today, invite the Holy Spirit to fill you with courage grounded in faith. Ask Him to help you face your challenges with confidence, trusting that God’s power is greater than any obstacle. Stand firm in His promises, allowing His strength to work through you, knowing He goes before you in every battle you face.

About this Plan
We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God is a 365-day Bible reading plan led by Bishop Gary Lewis, the General Overseer of the Church of God. The plan is designed to deepen your faith and understanding of God’s Word. Each day begins with a short devotional, followed by carefully curated Scripture readings, and concludes with the S.O.A.P. exercise—Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. Through this plan, you’ll grow in biblical literacy, discover God’s mercy and purpose, and learn to partner with Him in His Kingdom work.
