Precious Moments That Count For Eternity

DAY 167 OF 366

Never Too Young

We often ask little children what they want to be when they grow up. It almost seems like we think their present years don’t count as much. After all, people take you seriously only when you are older and supposedly wiser, right? Well, in the Kingdom, these rules don’t apply!
You can partner with God at any age. Remember how Samuel heard God call his name, and then speak to him about things to come? Historians believe he was just 12 or 13 years old at the time. There was also the eight-year-old King Josiah and the young prophet, Jeremiah. Throughout the Bible, God specialized in using youngsters too, to fulfill His plans. Why would you be an exception?
Maybe you are just a teenager, or may have known the Lord just a couple of months, or have only just recommitted your life to Jesus. You probably think you need to wait a few years before God can begin to use you. Well, that’s a silly idea. With God, age is irrelevant. Whether you are young, old or middle-aged, don’t let anyone tell you you’re the wrong age. Your age simply does not matter. You know why? It’s all about Him; the pressure is not on you. You just need to be available.
Start today, by speaking a word of encouragement to a neighbor, or standing up for what is right in your school, or praying over a sick friend. You are never too young to see God work through you. And what’s more, He will make you to be an example to many. So, don’t wait till you reach a certain age or till you manage to complete a 40-day fast. Make every day count, starting now!

Prayer
Father God, I thank You that You have already prepared good works for me to do. Help me to walk in them, and be an example to those around me. Amen.

About this Plan

Precious Moments That Count For Eternity

It is our prayer that it will reveal to those who don’t know Jesus Christ, that there is a Creator and Maker of this universe, the only loving and powerful God who longs for a personal relationship with every human being. We pray that these daily readings will remind us all of the great hope and abundant joy in knowing Jesus Christ, through whom we have eternal life!
