Precious Moments That Count For EternitySample
A Father Like No Other
A female kangaroo gives birth to a tiny joey and carries him in her pouch. Joeys are born pink, naked, blind, and deaf. Gradually, their eyes open, they start going out to nibble grass and eight months later, they can leave the pouch and stand on their own. Within two months, they are able to move out on their own, but will never stray too far from the mother kangaroo because they know that there is no other place in this world where they are completely safe.
At the first sign of danger, the joey pops back into his mother’s pouch. Today, when we are in similar situations, we have someone we can fall back on. We can always run right into our heavenly Father’s arms. There is no place where we are as safe and secure, as we are in the arms of our Father. He loves us and values us as His very own. He also cares for us better than even our parents can or will be able to!
Another interesting fact is that a mother kangaroo changes her milk several times to give the joey the nourishment he needs at different stages of his growth. When she gives birth to another joey, she produces different types of milk for both her babies.
If a created being can be so mindful of her child, can you imagine how carefully God Himself watches over you? He is a good father. If something matters to you, then it matters to Him. He gave His Son to save you and He can and will also freely give you everything else. He knows exactly what and at which stage in life, you need it. Don’t run so far from His covering that you put yourself in harm’s way!
Prayer
Thank You Father for loving me so unconditionally. I know that as long as You are by my side I am safe, secure and taken care of. You are a wonderful father, and You will never leave me. Amen.
