Whose Am I?

DAY 7 OF 7

Point to the Light

The Israelites were the chosen nation.

Peter reminds his readers, the Gentiles, of the things that once exclusively belonged to Israel, are now no longer the property of Israel alone. Election, priesthood, and calling are now the property of every believer. We were without these privileges, we were not even a people unto God. But now in Jesus, we belong to God and are His special people.

Believers who now have a new life and new access to God, owned by God as His special people, should have a new way of living. The purpose for these high privileges is not so we can grow proud, but so we can proclaim the praises of Him who has done such great things for us. The response of God’s chosen people is to show the watching world the goodness of this God. We are to point others to the marvelous light God has called us into.

How is your life pointing to God’s marvelous light?

Lord may I ever proclaim your goodness in all that I do and say, I pray.

About this Plan

Whose Am I?

You and I do not get to choose our human families. Some of us are blessed with great families, while many of us are not. And yet, every one of us can be part of God’s divine family. We have a Heavenly Father, who loves us unconditionally and invites each of us into His family. Explore further through this seven-day plan from Find Rest My Soul by Preethi Alice Jacob.
