Knowing Our Father
Ephesians 1:3-5, 7, 17
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us…he predestined us to be adopted as his sons…we have redemption through his blood…I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.”
How well do we know our Heavenly Father and what he has done for us in Jesus Christ?
We require his Holy Spirit to open our hearts eyes so that we might know Him better. We learn wisdom through his Spirit. We receive revelation through his Spirit in order to know our Father better. The riches of knowing Christ are all gifts from our Father. The joy and peace of forgiveness come from our Father, through Christ. We know who we are and whose we are because our Father adopted us into his family and gave us his name. Amazing!
Father God, thank you for all your spiritual and material blessings in Christ. All I have is yours. Thank you for eternal life, and a relationship with you now.
