Winding Down With the Wordنموونە
DAY 1
Proximity matters.
Who you surround yourself with you will eventually become.
That works positively and negatively!
The choice is up to you.
If you surround yourself with people making poor, unhealthy, toxic decisions it won't be long before you are tempted and eventually do the same.
But...If you surround yourself with people who are make wise, healthy, and purposeful decisions, it won't be long, and you will too.
We want to walk in love and represent Jesus well, but we don't have to allow those who are walking in the flesh influence our daily living.
We are called to INFLUENCE!
As a follower of Christ, we are called to IMITATE Him...we then are called to go out in the world and SHOW them who we belong to.
And in turn, they will be influenced by your godly living.
It's vital we surround ourselves with the wise, so their daily habits will influence us.
Who do you admire?
Why?
That's WHO you want to surround yourself with!
Someone who is wiser than you, someone who is healthier than you, someone who is wealthier than you...someone who you can ask questions to and glean from.
Be a student. Be a sponge. All of your life. Soak up all the wisdom and knowledge up you can. Never stop learning and growing...
Why?
Because you have people who look up to you. You have a purpose to fulfill. It's time to get intentional with HOW you are living your life.
ASK yourself...What kind of person do I want to be?
I will always encourage you to journal these thought provoking questions and answers.
I believe we can learn and grow even more when we write.
For me I like pen and paper.
Get yourself a journal and keep it handy throughout your day. You'll be surprised how much you end up writing in it.
When you hear something that adds VALUE to you, write it down.
When you get a thought that INSPIRES you, write it down.
When you hear of a PRAYER REQUEST, write it down.
Wise people write.
Do what they do.
Mimic their behaviors, their attitudes, their habits.
If you want to be wise, surround yourself with the wise!
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise knowledge and insight," Proverbs 1:7
Don't be a fool!
Get into God's Word today (and every day) and ALLOW it to transform your life from the inside out!
DECLARATION
I walk with the wise, therefore I am wise! In Jesus' Name. Amen.
