Winding Down With the Wordنموونە
DAY 2
The Lord is My Shepherd. He leads Me and guides Me into His truth.
Because we are Children of the Most High, The Good Shepherd is there at our disposal, waiting for us to ALLOW Him to be The Shepherd of our life.
He PATIENTLY waits for us to come to Him.
He knows of our every need and not only that, but He has the Supply to meet our every need.
Praise God!
So, why wouldn't we go to Him?
I believe there can be many reasons but here are 2 I'd like to share:
#1. We don't know of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is simple ignorance. How can we know something if we've never been told or shown? These are people who haven't had the revelation of Christ in their hearts yet.
And...
#2. Pride. We want to be God in our life because we think we know better. These are the ones who know God but have a hard time fully surrendering all aspects of their life. They may surrender one part of their life but not in others.
For example: They have surrendered their life to Christ and know they are saved and going to heaven when they pass away but...If you ask them if they allow God to be in control of their finances, marriage or business they get pretty uncomfortable because they want to be in control.
In my opinion the people who deal with pride "seem to know what they are doing and have life figured out," but in reality, it is a trust issue.
They are afraid that if they allow God in that area of their life they will be let down, just as they have been with people in their life.
I'm here to tell you that God will never let you down. People will yes.
But not our God. If God said it, you CAN count on it. He is faithful.
He may do things differently than you think but we have to KNOW and BELIEVE that God's way and plan for our life is for our best interest!
He KNOWS us. He is our creator. Our Abba.
It's up to us to choose whether we believe that or not.
Okay friend let's talk about which of the two reasons you relate to?
No judgements here. I've been on both sides. And let me tell you...how sweet it is to be loved by Him and to ALLOW Him to be The Shepherd of my life.
When I allow Him to be in control is when Psalms 23:3 can come ALIVE and operate in my life.
And not just this verse/this promise but ALL of them!
The KEY is living a Surrendered Life to Jesus Christ.
When we live a SURRENDERED life to the King of kings and the Lord of lords, we can learn to truly enjoy Jesus.
We can TRUST Him.
Knowing He will do His job of REFRESHING our souls that are parched and weary from living a life apart from Him. It's when we try to do life in our own strength that we get worn down.
I encourage you to ALLOW Jesus The Good Shepherd to be your Source and Supply today!
God's Word is there for the taking.
ALLOW yourself to experience the Supernatural PEACE of God as you TRUST in His ability and willingness to provide all your needs.
He is there waiting for you to allow Him in.
Will you?
DECLARATION
God refreshes my soul. He is My Shepherd and leads me along the right paths. My life is surrendered to the One True Living God.
QUESTION
When you have a need do you go to God first or do you try to make it happen yourself in your own strength?
Why do you believe that is?
