Faith & Love: A One Year Bible Reading Plan - Part 11نموونە
Today’s scripture is 2 Thessalonians 2, and the verses that stood out for me are 16 & 17:
“Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who loved us and gave us everlasting consolation and encouragement and hope through His grace, comfort and encourage our hearts and strengthen them in every good work and word.”
He dreamed about us long before we were uniquely designed and came into being, and as it says in Hebrews 2:6: “What is it about the human species that God cannot get them out of his mind? What does he see in the son of Man that captivated his gaze?”
Do you grasp how deeply you are loved and the extent of His love for you, irrespective of the world and voices around us and where we often measure ourselves against worldly standards?
We are encouraged by Paul to not allow our minds to be unsettled, disturbed, or kept alarmed but rather to welcome the Truth (v 10 & 13). We should, therefore, align ourselves with the absolute truth, which cannot be denied or changed, and be weary of our own assumptions or interpretations as we view them from our own perspective.
As Paul said in John 14:13, because we are in Him and Him in us, He has also given us His Holy Spirit – the origin of truth within us!
Therefore, no one can deceive or beguile us, but He rather comforts us from a place of love.
I want to challenge you to journey with the Holy Spirit to reveal His truth in situations that you may face this week and that the absolute truth will assist in discernment and instruct you in your daily living.
