God Is Love

Everyone is looking for love. Real love, not just a temporary emotion. We were wired for it. We were designed to be affirmed, cared for, forgiven, supported, and adored. Why? Because we were created by God, and God is love (1 John 4:8, 16).

God’s love is so incomprehensibly immense that the Apostle Paul prayed a powerful prayer for Christians to be supernaturally empowered to “grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,” which “surpasses knowledge” (Ephesians 3:18-19).

Love is a universal need, and God’s love is the universal answer. 

·  God’s love is unconditional, unlike the world’s love.

·  He is kind toward us when we are good and when we are bad. 

·  He wants us to be filled to the brim with goodness and life. 

·  He longs for us to be so saturated in His love that it overflows into other people’s lives too.

Make it your aim to know the real God so that His love overflows. Meditate on His love and let it captivate your heart. Learn to see yourself the way He sees you, secure in His affection. 

Will you let your heart be transformed? And when God’s love freely flows not only into you but through you, it will change the world.
