Praying God's Word Over Your Kids: Part 3نموونە
I have not always done everything great when it comes to parenting. If I’m really honest with you, this role of mother is one that I feel I need the most work in. On many occasions, I have apologized to all of my three sons for saying something I shouldn’t have said or acted in a way that was rude and unnecessary. Thankfully, they have always offered me their forgiveness.
I desperately want to have a pure heart before my God. That does not always happen because my flesh gets in the way and more often than I desire, I let it have its way. But that doesn’t stop me from asking God to help me change that.
Part of that purity in heart and a desire for it comes with readily accepting that we don’t always make good choices. In other words, we are children of God who still sin. When we do sin, a simple prayer of confession to God is all it takes. “I”m sorry I did this God. Will you forgive me?” is all you and I need to say. It really is that simple.
Think of how this will impact our children if we begin praying that they will walk in purity and repentance in their lives. Such freedom will come from this. Join me in believing that God is working this out in their lives even when we can’t yet see the results.
●Create in ____________ a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within her. (Psalm 51:10)
●____________ will stay on the path of purity by living according to Your word. (Psalm 119:9)
●Search ____________, God, and know her heart; test her and know her anxious thoughts. (Psalm 139:23)
●____________ will confess her sins to God, who is faithful and just, and will forgive ____________ her sins and purify her from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
About this Plan
Praying for our children is instinctual as parents. We are constantly praying for their health, well being and happiness. All of those are great, but let's go deeper in our prayers for them. As Jesus followers, the Word of God is our foundation for truth and because of that, it makes sense that we should use it as our guide. Join Cindy as she shares prayers with you that she has prayed over her three sons and walk in faith that you will see it all come to pass in your own children's lives.
