Since before the establishment of Israel in 1948, Palestinian communities have been entrenched in ongoing conflicts. These conflicts have caused widespread displacement and instability, resulting in 61% of Palestinians living as refugees. Because of these circumstances, Palestinian youth are vulnerable to recruitment by extremist groups.

Due to the invasion of Israel by the extremist group Hamas in the fall of 2023 and the Israeli reprisal, this region has been bombarded on every level of existence. Palestinian Christians residing in the region find themselves caught amid the ongoing battle. They endure relentless pressure and persecution from radical Islamist factions, as well as Israelis.

Persecution has led to the forced exodus of Arab Christians. Those who remain often feel marginalized and abandoned by the global Christian community. This has hindered, but not stopped, the growth of the Arab Evangelical Church.

Prayer Points to Consider:

• Pray for an end to the war with Israel and for peace and stability in the region. May the Lord bring an end to the infighting and loss of life and that humanitarian aid reaches the overwhelming need of the people.
• Pray for those working to spread the Gospel to be encouraged, strengthened by His might in the Holy Spirit, and not grow weary. May they see the fruit of their work, and multitudes would know Jesus in miraculous ways.
• Currently, there are very few churches in this region. Pray for sound Biblical leadership and discipleship and a fresh breath of the Holy Spirit to help the Church grow through creative ways to reach their communities.
• Declare breakthrough in Jesus’ Name to reach Palestinian youth as they wrestle with extreme suffering. Speaking that the deaf would hear the word of the Lord and that blind eyes would be opened to the glory of our Heavenly Father.
• Pray for a resolution to the current national situation with Israel, with justice for the Palestinians and security for both sides, that politicians worldwide will have God’s wisdom for a much-needed solution so that the Gospel can be preached because of divine open doors.

Dear Lord Jesus...I come before You today, lifting up the peoples of Palestine: the West Bank and Gaza. I pray for all those who do not know You and Who You are. I ask that You send out Your children to share the Good News boldly! May hope for a future well up in every believer and nonbeliever alike and that peace would come to this land as promised in Romans 15:13. I thank You, Lord, that You are working in Palestine and for the protection You are providing for Your children who dwell in this region and persevere in bringing the Gospel of Your salvation, healing, and deliverance! In Your All-Sufficient Name, Lord Jesus. Amen!
