Yemen is mired in a severe humanitarian crisis stemming from decades of conflict and instability. Since 2015, civilians have faced relentless violence and turmoil fueled by civil war, with over 80% of the 31,000,000 population requiring urgent aid and food due to famine. Extremist groups have exploited the chaos to expand their influence and control.

The nation remains one of the world’s least evangelized and ranks among the top ten countries for persecution of Christians. Most of these are first-generation believers, with many expatriate Christians fleeing the country due to the ongoing violence. Those believers who remain face expulsion from their communities or even death if their faith is discovered. Evangelism is strictly prohibited, with severe consequences for those who dare to share their faith. Yet, despite the consequences, many are empowered to spread the Good News.

Prayer Points to Consider:

• Speak Jesus’ name over Yemen, declaring His peace and a resolution to the civil war conflict. Praying that the nation’s inhabitants could have consistent electricity, water, nutrition, and basic health care.
• Pray for Holy Spirit boldness, safety, and Biblically sound established leadership in the local Church.
• Pray for women and girls in situations not of their own choosing, asking for their hearts to be turned to Jesus in the midst of confusion, hurt, and pain.
• Pray for the many displaced Yemenis around the world. That they would meet Jesus and bring their love of Him back to their country,
• Speak a hedge of protection in Jesus’ Name surrounding Christian workers in Yemen for their protection from the enemy, governmental eyes, and those who are hostile to the Gospel. Also asking Father for the release of new, bold, and strategic leaders and workers to be sent to the nation.

Dear Lord Jesus...I declare the Lordship of Your Name over this land where the enemy has attempted to silence Your Word. Yet, where sin abounds, Your grace is boundless Romans 5:20. I ask for a move of the Holy Spirit to penetrate the darkness and reach those who don’t know You yet, in the quiet of their homes, in their dreams, in divine visitations, and in pivotal encounters with Your children there. May every believer in Yemen experience a profound sense of Your presence at this moment, releasing them from fear, encouraging their hearts, and empowering them in the Spirit’s gifts. I ask for wisdom among church leaders to lead boldly, yet with Your discernment. In Your Name, King Jesus, I pray. Amen!
