TheLionWithin.Us: How to Pursue Your Careerনমুনা
Changing Careers
Changing careers can be one of the scariest moments in your life.
This is especially true for those that have been in a trade for more than 10 years. Remember Proverbs 24:27 whenever you consider a life move such as this and make the transitions carefully.
To make a career change, there are provisions that need to be in place to minimize the impact it may have on the family you are responsible for leading. One approach to consider would be to keep your current role and begin pursuing other paths as a second job or side hustle. With the job market always changing, you may negotiate flexible hours to get started.
Do not make knee-jerk reactions that are based solely on emotion. As discussed, if we are working with God’s plan in mind, then great things are possible. But we must be aware of His timing and unfortunately, that isn’t always aligned with ours.
Take your time, set up adequate funds in case the pay scale is impacted, and see where your budget can be modified if a loss of income is felt for a period. Knowing the facts will make the timing on when to take the official plunge less scary and more of an adventure.
Question to Consider
- How do you continue to honor the Lord as you transition careers?
- What steps can you take to transition towards a new career that God is calling you to?
- What actions will you commit to today to be the leader God intends you to be?

The average person has about 12 jobs in their lifetime, so even if things are not going well now, God is preparing you for something great. Let's explore several areas that show how God cares about your career.
