Day 15 - CELEBRATION
Don’t we all love the summertime? There’s always something to be grateful for, fun to be had, or a celebration to enjoy. Celebration isn’t just a seasoning that we get to add to our days in easier chapters of life, it is a command and a requirement of us, a demonstration of praise and gratitude as we see how great our God is. In some seasons, celebration is a defiant response, a weapon that breaks down both the walls we see in our seemingly impossible circumstances, and the walls within us that can feel so limiting. However, in the summer seasons of life, the times that are warm, easy, and filled with blessing, celebration should come even more naturally to us. It is the overflow of praise for the prayers answered, the blessings received, and the heart of God displayed in our lives.
What do you see in your life that should be celebrated?
Are there things that need to be celebrated and valued more that you have taken for granted?
Many of the voices that we hear day-to-day can be negative, tainted with complaint and dissatisfaction. However, God has given us all that we need, and more than we deserve, and He promises us joy in His presence. In the summer seasons of our lives, we have a beautiful opportunity to live constantly ready to give all praise to God, and when God’s goodness is so evident all around us, this should require very little effort.
What can you do today to demonstrate gratitude for the season you are in? How will you glorify God today? Psalm 63:3
