Day 19 - EMBRACE
Often our warmest summer memories are special not just because of the things we did, but the people who were alongside us. Photo albums are not just filled with places, views, and adventures, but the people who brought our adventures to life. As we reflect on the greatness of blessing seasons, it is clear that our blessings don’t just come in the form of answered prayers, health, finances and provision; blessing is also found in friendships gained, and the love shown by, and shared with others. Some have been in our lives for the whole journey, others are here alongside us just for a season, but we must be intentional about honouring and embracing those closest to us, Ecclesiastes 3:5(b).
How can you embrace the important people in your life today with your words and your actions?
God places us in families, biological and spiritual, because He wants us to live our lives intertwined with one another. He is the maker of community, the designer of friendship, and the Father of the greatest family we will ever know Proverbs 17:17. He instructs us to be voices of encouragement, love, hope, and joy within those relationships. Summer would not be the same if we were isolated, let someone know that you are grateful for them today.
One of the greatest gifts we can give those we love is to pray for them. Take a moment to fight for someone else’s victories today.
