Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold on eternal life, to which you are called and have made a good confession before many witnesses.

For the love of money is a root of all evil. While coveting after money, some have strayed from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

But godliness with contentment is great gain.

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain that we can carry nothing out.

Command those who are rich in this world that they not be conceited, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who richly gives us all things to enjoy.

But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish and harmful lusts, which drown men in ruin and destruction.

Command that they do good, that they be rich in good works, generous, willing to share, and laying up in store for themselves a good foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of eternal life.
