One a DayÀpẹrẹ
We now begin a new section of Isaiah at chapter forty. It has been said of the book of Isaiah that it tracks like the entire Bible. The first thirty-nine chapters (like the 39 books of the Old Testament) captured how God would “set up” the world for the coming Savior. The final twenty-seven chapters outline how this Savior will deliver, redeem, and bring all things to God’s standards. Over the next few weeks, contemplate how Isaiah saw the world after the Messiah and how much has come to pass and how much we must bring to pass.

Welcome to a plan that is designed to go slower together. We wanted to take things slow to allow for better meditation - one chapter a day covering every major division of the Bible. We staggered the order as well in order to keep things fresh. We have chosen a book from the Torah, historical books, the poetic writings, and the Prophets from the Old Testament. And, in the New Testament we have a Gospel, Pauline epistle, Hebrews, and the Revelation.
