We Are Redeemed

The fourth truth to know about your identity in Christ is that you are redeemed.

I love a good redemption story! The good news for you and me, as believers, is that no matter what we’ve done or what has been done to us, we are made new through Jesus’ death and resurrection!

When you began your relationship with God, your slate was wiped clean. Scripture tells us God has removed our sin “as far as the east is from the west” (Psalm 103:12). That’s a long way! God has removed our sins and made us a new creation in Him.

Today, when the devil tries to remind you of your past, you can rest assured that your past does not define you. You are a brand-new creation in Christ! The old is gone, and the new has come. The new you is the real you!
