Emulating Jesus in a Dark WorldÀpẹrẹ
Empowering the Characteristics of Jesus
How can we empower Jesus's characteristics in our lives? We must know this is doable by activating the Holy Spirit's ability to work in and through us.
Jesus was known for His strength. He always held firm in the face of temptation. He acquainted Himself with our sufferings in human form, which was way beyond what any of us could fathom or imagine. He went above and beyond what any of us could ever do and thus, makes Him most reliable in assisting us in the issues of our lives. We can learn from Jesus that if we allow our situation or circumstance to be a growing tool, we can also help others in their sufferings, empowering The Holy Spirit within our lives and blessing others in the process. (Heb. 2:18)
Jesus was the best example of activating and empowering the Holy Spirit through complete submission to God, prayer, Scripture memorization, knowledge, teaching, and selflessness.
When these particular characteristics are implemented, they can 100% empower the Holy Spirit's work in our lives. The Bible tells us how important it is to hide God's Word in our hearts (Tim. 2:15, Psalm 119:11).
The prayer aspect of our lives is like having a power cord to a needed appliance. The power cord is only useful if it is plugged into both the power source and the appliance itself. We must be willing to "plug in" to our Power Source (Jesus) through willing obedience to study, regular communion with God, selflessness, and sharing these qualities with others. (John 3:16)
God desires to raise us up to higher ground with His power, but we must want it for ourselves and access it by emulating His ways and allowing these things to penetrate our lives to best benefit us all for the greater good.
'And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power.' 1 Cor. 6:14
How can you goal to be more like Jesus today and in the days ahead in full submission with the characteristics of selflessness, Scripture memorization, prayer, strength, Fruit of The Spirit, love, discernment, joy, patience, humility, Truth, and servitude? Can you commit to starting with a few and build on it? Let's GO and make more disciples!
