God's Redemption Story (Judges - 2 Samuel)Àpẹrẹ
The Promise - 1/5
At different points in David’s life, he fought bears and lions, had spears thrown at him while he played music, hid in caves while Saul hunted him, and more. I imagine more than once David wondered if he would live to see the next day. Would he have a purpose beyond the here and now? With the benefit of hindsight, we see that God had big plans for David and brought him out of each of those trials.
Did David know though? As David faced a giant, hid in the cave, and feared for his life, did he know how God would use him or did He just trust that God was in control?
We might not know what plans God has for us, but the Lord knows. We might not know how the Lord will bring us out of our trials and circumstances, but He does.
We don’t have to know, we just have to choose to trust Him.
