FREEDOM From Porn For Women

FREEDOM from loneliness

Porn is a sin that is done in secret that often no one will know about. When I struggled with porn, I believed that no one else also struggled or would understand. I felt alone. I was so ashamed of my addiction that I didn’t want to tell a soul. It was only when I decided to share my sin with a friend that I began to experience freedom. You don’t have to live in isolation with your sin. You can share it and feel loved.

You may say that I am lonely and have no one to share with about this. If you struggle with loneliness, then I encourage you to find hope through Jesus and read this -https://www.bible.com/reading-plans/3053

I believe that accountability is 100% necessary to experience freedom. That accountability may start with using some type of software that keeps you from using your phone or computer for porn, but it ultimately must involve another person. You may start with a trusted friend or join a recovery group at church, but you must come clean and stop hiding in the shadows. Otherwise, your addiction will continue to have a grip on you.

We all want to be known deeply. Scripture tells us that only God can fill the desire in our hearts to be fully known and fully loved. Psalm 46:10 states, “Be still, and know that I am God.”  The word ‘know’ in the original language, Hebrew, is ‘yada.’ Yada means to be known deeply. We can know God as deeply as a husband knows his wife.

You already know how isolating this problem can be and how it makes you feel alone. I want to encourage you to share your struggles with trusted friends in a Christian community. You may be surprised at how many are fighting the same battle. When you take this step, while trusting the Holy Spirit, you will grow closer to God and feel known and loved by Him.

Father God, you know there are times I feel all alone and seek to fill that hole with the wrong things. Help me go to your Word and trust the Holy Spirit when I feel lonely. Give me the courage to share my addiction with others and find hope, encouragement, love, and accountability in their friendship. Amen.

FREEDOM From Porn For Women

This inspiring reading plan is for women that struggle with pornography and seek FREEDOM. God has created each of us with a desire for intimacy. We often seek to satisfy those feelings with fantasy and pornography that leave us feeling guilty, empty, worthless, and trapped in a vicious cycle. This cycle of sin robs us of the joy and freedom we were designed to live in.
