Good to Know

Have you ever earned money for something? When you got paid for mowing the neighbor’s lawn or babysitting your little sister, that’s a wage. It’s something you earned. This verse uses that same word to talk about what we get due to sin. And what are the wages we earn from our sins? Death. Not literal, drop-dead-right-now death, but spiritual death. A disconnection from God, who is our source of life. But because of Jesus, we don’t have to suffer that loss. Instead, we can live freely, knowing that because of what Jesus did for us, we now get to experience a full life lived with God! And that’s pretty cool!

This week, talk to your small group leader about this verse and how it feels to know you can experience this full life because of what Jesus did!
