Expecting the One With Many NamesÀpẹrẹ
IN THE END, EVERY NATION WILL BOW!
‘The desire of all Nations’ seems like an unusual name, yet it is another perfect name for Jesus. Another word that describes who He is! Throughout scripture, this desire to know Him becomes more and more evident, and in Revelation 7:9, we see a beautiful picture of this desire painted in words.
“And I will shake all nations, and 'the desire of all nations' shall come, and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts.” Haggai 2:7
One of the most familiar Christmas Story names for Jesus is ‘Emmanuel,’ which means God with us! How reassuring to know that God sent Himself through His Son Jesus to be present in Him for the 33 years Jesus walked the earth! How beautiful to know that when Christ returned to the Father, He didn’t leave us comfortless but allowed the Holy Spirit to remain within each of those who believe!
“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name ‘Emmanuel,’ which being interpreted is, God with us.“ Matthew 1:23
Jesus, ‘The End!’ When God determines the 2nd coming of Jesus, and after the Millennial Reign, the End will forever rule as King!
“And he said unto me; It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning, and ‘the End.’ I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.” Revelation 21:6
Everlasting, we know, is without End! Forever into all of eternity, Jesus will be our ‘Everlasting Father!’
“For unto us a child is born, unto us, a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The ‘everlasting Father,’ The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
