Redefined by the Creator of the Universe

Getting a handle on what God thinks of you is a game-changer.

We all go through life trying to find our purpose, trying to find out who we are. Society tells us to base our worth on our performance. We often look to the world for validation rather than looking to our Heavenly Father. As Christians, we have the opportunity to know that our identity does not come from what we do, but from how God views us. Wisconsin basketball player Brad Davison talks about how this perspective has changed his life.

It is so important to have a view of ourselves based on truth, rather than on the world's standards. Knowing who we are in Christ helps us walk with confidence no matter what circumstances we face. We do not have to rely on our accomplishments or what the world tells us in order to feel good about ourselves. It was that perspective that helped Job in the Old Testament in some very difficult times. It is why Peter penned the incredible words about God calling us chosen and special. May you live your life in the confidence of knowing the Creator of the Universe has redefined your life.

Application Questions:

  • How healthy is your view of yourself?
  • What are some steps you can take to be reminded of God's love?
