Do what is good

Corruption in this world is not confined to leaders. Bribery, 'jobs for the boys,' and other behaviors that sail close to the wind are common in many countries, and it is difficult, but necessary, for Christians to take a stand and live as an example of righteous living through God's enabling grace.

When interacting with people, it's helpful to realize that without God's kindness and love, we're all the same.

We are saved by grace through faith, and we can only do good, resist slander, live peacefully and considerately by grace through faith.

We need to remember these things regularly.

We need to remind ourselves and others how to behave towards our leaders and one another, to remember how we once were and how the tasting of God's love and kindness and His outpouring of the Holy Spirit is preparing us as heirs of the kingdom in which we will live forever.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for your Son Jesus Christ, who has saved me through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. Thank you that I am justified by grace. Help me to lead a life that honors you in all I do, think, and say. Amen.
