"Pain"

Wounds cause pain. Wounds are proof of an attack against us physically, mentally, or emotionally. Blood and tears are released to alert us to the wounds and also to be the first steps in the healing process.

Sometimes people want to dismiss the pain. I know as a man myself, I do not want to show my weakness, especially in front of my wife and children. I need to stay strong and be an example of strength at this time.

Did you ever wonder why we feel pain? What would it be like if we could not feel it? We would never know when we have been wounded and needing to heal.
Pain killers are used when the body is unable to cope with the physical pain. Just like that, the Holy Spirit is the pain killer for your soul. You get no relief unless you find the correct pain killer to handle your pain…God!!

Jesus gave us the answer for pain. He allows us to feel it to draw our attention to the wounds in our lives and also provides the salve for the soul. Don’t just curl up and feel the pain, get some relief.

Pain also leaves scars. I describe a divorce like open heart surgery. When you are healed, your heart will work again, but at the cost of a huge scar on your chest. Eventually the wound heals, but it leaves a scar to remind you of the pain and to show you that pain only lasts until you are healed.

Realize that your pain is temporary and the Jesus will heal you, if you go to Him.

Prayer
God, through the pain I will trust that you will bring the healing that I need to heal fully and completely, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
