Key Events: Key Historical Events Of The BibleÀpẹrẹ
Exile
Jeremiah’s message of hope in the long-term continues. In the short-term, they are to do the best they can in the situation they are in.
Verse 11 can be used as a source of encouragement for people but is often misunderstood. The verse is saying that God will ultimately give us success. That success may not come during our lives on earth, but rather when God takes us to heaven. This promise was true of Judah, is true of us and is true of Christian martyrs living in countries where people are killed for their faith. In the meantime, live the best life for God that you can in the time you are given.
